The lot is narrow; twenty feet. It is sandwiched between two “muscular” high-rise buildings. We intentionally tried to express that sandwich condition on the urban façade in a desperate attempt to try to be contextual in an abstract way. The building, although being only five stories, has a clear vertical attitude. A Manhattan skyline attitude. The program is for a one family residence for a young couple.
